Gideon won two all breed Best In Shows, with 41 Group Firsts, and a total of 155 group placements.
In 1987 Gideon won the first-ever Pedigree Award, given to the dog defeating the most dogs of its own breed in the show ring. He also was the top Skye in all-breed points that year.
Gideon’s children were no slouches in the ring, either, as you can see below.

- in 1991 was hot on his brother Spittin Image’s heels, finishing as the #3 Skye Terrier in all-breed points.

Just in case you lost track: in 1987, 1988, 1989, 1990, 1991, and 1995 Gideon or one of his sons won the Pedigree Award for defeating the most Skye Terriers.
